The three-phase isolated transformer is used to isolate mains power or to reduce or increase mains voltage. It is used in industrial sectors like panel and machine manufacturers.

Why does the isolation transformer not shock?

Because of the galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary windings, it does not shock because of reference to the ground. For this reason, it is also used for safety purposes especially in places with intense user contact such as ATM machines and CNC machines. Where grounding problems are experienced, three-phase isolated transformers or three-phase isolation transformers are manufactured as screened and used to reduce or reset the neutral-ground voltage.

3-phase transformers are produced in phase-to-phase or phase-to-neutral voltages between 1V – 1,000 V and 50VA – 500 KVA powers. Optionally screened.

Three-phase isolated transformers are covered with H class enamel and glass fiber copper wires as standard. Production is also possible by using aluminum or CCA winding wires upon request. Because aluminum and CCA wires create serious cost advantages. After winding, it is varnished in a vacuum boiler and dried in an oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Three-phase isolated transformers are completely dry type and do not contain transformer oil.

Three Phase Isolated Transformer Connection Types

Depending on the application, triangle / star, triangle / triangle, star / star, star / triangle, star / zigzag, zigzag / star connection types are preferred.

Triangle / Star Connection: It is called Dyn11 and it is generally used to obtain neutral in the installation.

Triangle / Triangle Connection: There is no neutral connection at the input and output.

Star / Star Connection: Transformer input and output connections are neutral.

Zigzag connection: Both the triangular and the star connection in the transformer are obtained by special connection.
