Industrial Rectifiers for Battery Charging and DC Power Supply Applications

Rectifiers, also known as DC power supplies, are used in powering devices that operate with DC voltage or current, in welding processes, and for battery charging. Battery charger rectifiers, available with single-phase or three-phase (1-phase or 3-phase) input, have a very low ripple factor due to their full-wave rectifier type and the LC filter used at the output. Three-phase input rectifiers are manufactured as standard 6-pulse rectifiers, but 12-pulse and 18-pulse options are also available if a lower ripple is preferred. Half-wave rectified battery charger rectifiers are also available for specific applications.

Output voltage options are 12 VDC – 24 VDC – 48 VDC – 110 VDC – 220 VDC – 500 VDC, and can be manufactured with non-standard voltages. Output current options start from a minimum of 5A and range up to 500A. The system features protection against mains high voltage, output short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, and optionally ground DC leakage.

Isolated Transformer Thyristor Controlled Rectifier Technology

Our battery charger rectifiers,  sold under the Artsan brand, are thyristor-controlled and utilize an isolated transformer to reduce the mains voltage. Thyristors triggered at the appropriate angle ensure stable output voltage. While MOSFET or IGBT-controlled SMPS types are available depending on requirements, thyristor-controlled rectifiers with isolated transformers are particularly recommended due to their robust construction.

Cooling is achieved through natural air cooling for low power outputs and fan cooling for high power outputs. Therefore, since they are completely dry type, no rectifier oil is used.
